A decentralized exchange is a machine that never sleeps. This is its engine room:
every pool a gear turning at the speed capital actually moves, every hour a
pressure gauge, every trading day a shift log, every cohort a line on the
maintenance board. A direct on-chain WSS ignition bus now lays live swaps over
that historical evidence without rewriting it. Nothing here is invented: aggregate motion stays
aggregate, each live strike maps to one admitted pool log, and anything unmeasured stays visible.

The ten decks below remain a labeled, internally reconciled snapshot.
DECK 01
THE GEARWORKS
Each gear is one real indexed pool. Face area encodes indexed TVL; rotation speed encodes
24-hour turnover — volume divided by liquidity — so a small gear spinning furiously is thin
liquidity working hard. Solid-tooth wheels are concentrated-liquidity pools; peg-tooth wheels are
classic pools. Dashed rims are unpriced pools: present, indexed, but with no trusted USD lens.
Placement and spin direction are layout choices with no on-chain meaning. A temporary outer
halo means the direct WSS wire observed a swap in that exact pool; it never changes the
snapshot-derived gear size or speed.

DECK 02
THE PRESSURE MANIFOLD
Twenty-four glass columns — the snapshot’s exact hourly aggregate bins, nothing interpolated.
Fluid height is USD volume; the dial above each column is transaction count.
Scrub the shift clock or let the sweep hand walk the day. Each column is one sealed hourly
aggregate: no event timestamps exist inside it, so none are drawn.
DECK 03
THE SHIFT LOG
Who clocked in. Each row is one complete UTC day of initiator addresses — never people, never
the current partial day. Bright copper is first-observed addresses (fresh metal);
green patina is returning addresses (metal that has been here before). Notches split
EOAs from contracts. The machine’s crew changes faster than its throughput does.
DECK 04
THE MAINTENANCE BOARD
Does the crew report back for duty? Each row is a cohort — addresses first observed on the same
day. Each dial shows the share active again exactly N days later: D1, D7, D14, D30.
A dashed slot stamped NOT DUE means the calendar hasn’t reached that inspection yet.
It is never drawn as zero, because “unmeasured” and “nobody returned” are different facts.

DECK 05
THE FEE FURNACE
Every documented fee tier is a burner. Flame height is the 24-hour USD volume routed
through that tier; the plate below counts its pools. A dashed, cold burner is a tier the
docs promise but no indexed pool uses yet — absence drawn honestly instead of dropped.
Flame sway is aggregate intensity, never individual trades.
DECK 06
THE CALIPER BENCH
How big is a swap on this machine? Each complete day is measured with three admitted
calipers: solid tick = median, hollow ring = mean, T-bar = 95th percentile.
The shaded band between median and P95 is the day's spread — when the mean rides far above
the median, a few heavy swaps are doing the lifting.
DECK 07
THE DYNAMO ROOM
The engine feeds a much larger grid. Steam columns are total Robinhood Chain DEX volume;
the brass line is GigaDEX's share of it. Hatched columns and hollow markers are partial
days — measured but incomplete. This deck uses a deliberately separate lens (DefiLlama
adapters) and is never blended with the official-indexer readings on the other decks.
DECK 08
THE COUNTERWEIGHTS
How balanced is the machine? These dials are measured concentration — how much of the
engine hangs from a single hook. High readings mean one pool, one sender, or ten addresses
carry a dangerous share of the load. Measured shares only; nobody's identity is inferred.
TOP-10 ADDRESS SHARE OF DAILY VOLUME — COMPLETE DAYS
DECK 09
THE BLUEPRINT WALL
The machine's documented parts. Every framed plate is one contract from the snapshot's
deployment audit — name, category, and stamps for LIVE, VERIFIED, and
PROXY, exactly as recorded. Each plate links to the chain explorer for independent
inspection.
DECK 10
THE FUEL BUDGET
The fuel that hasn't been pumped yet. This is GIGA's documented allocation — a plan on
paper, not circulating supply. The DEX runs; the token does not exist on-chain yet.
Everything on this deck is a documentation claim, kept apart from every measured deck above.
MACHINIST’S NOTES
Aggregate steam. No fake sparks.
Everything that moves on this page — spin, fluid, needles, the sweep hand — is driven by
aggregate measurements: turnover ratios, hourly bins, daily counts. Not one animation
represents an individual swap, wallet, or route, because the snapshot does not contain
individual event streams and we refuse to invent them.
Every shape has a receipt.
Gears map one-to-one onto indexed pools; columns onto the 24 admitted hour bins; shift bars
onto complete UTC days; dials onto cohort cells. The manifest plate above carries the snapshot
block, window, and coverage so any number can be audited against the official GigaDEX indexer.
Position is layout. Size is evidence.
Where a gear sits and which way it spins are collision-avoidance aesthetics — they claim
nothing about routing or topology. What a gear is — its area, speed, teeth, rim, rings —
is evidence. When the evidence is missing, the machine shows a dashed absence instead of a
confident lie.
